Badminton is a game that is a lot of fun, takes great skill to be really good or professional, and also, it is the most wonderful exercise. Find out the MET, the Metabolic Equivalent of Task Take the MET x your kilogram body weight x 3.5 / 200 Measure the number of minutes you play the game for Multiply the calories (worked out in 1 and 2) burned off in a minute by the total minutes of play. Here is an example, if we say that Badminton has a metabolic equivalent of take, a MET, of 7. A person weights 75 kilograms He plays Badminton for 60 minutes The calories burned per minute will be 7 x 75 x 3.5 / 200 - approximately 9 9 calories per minute x 60 minute = 540 calories have been burned in the hour long game. Remember this is an approximate example. MET, a measurement of energy spent for a specific activity like Badminton, also depends on the person.
