Laver Cup 2022 Format

As mentioned earlier, the Laver Cup will see Team Europe go toe to toe against Team World with each match carrying a point weightage.

Wins in the matches on the first day of the competition will be worth a point apiece, while those on day two will carry two points. The third and the final day will see the winner take away three points for his team.

There will be three singles and one doubles match played each day in a best-of-three format with the team reaching 13 points first winning the competition.

How to Buy Laver Cup 2022 Tickets?

Laver Cup 2022 tickets can be bought from their official website here. While the first day of the competition is on September 23, there will be an open practice day held a day prior to that on Thursday, September 22 kick-starting at 12 noon.

Ticket prices for the practice day range from £22.50 to £35 per seat.

Other than that, there are single session and multi-session tickets available for the three-day competition. These range from between £18 to £510 depending on the day and type of tickets.

The two teams going head to head at the 2022 Laver Cup are Team Europe and Team World.

In this year’s Laver Cup, the Team Europe will be represented by Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray, Casper Ruud and Stefanos Tsitsipas.

Team World will have Taylor Fritz, Felix Auger-Aliassime, Diego Schwartzman, Frances Tiafoe, Alex de Minaur and Jack Sock.

What Happened at the Last Edition of the Laver Cup?

In what was one of the most one-sided editions of the Laver Cup, Team Europe crushed Team World 14-1, as they won eight of the nine matches that were on show. The final three matches on the third day of the competition were cancelled once the winners were decided.

Casper Ruud, Matteo Berrettini and Andrey Rublev won their respective singles matches on day one of the tournament before John Isner and Denis Shapovalov pulled one back for Team World.

From there on, however, it was all one-way traffic with Stefanos Tsitsipas, Alexander Zverev and Daniil Medvedev winning their singles matches on day two, before Rublev and Tsitsipas won their doubles match to give them a 11-1 lead.

On day three, only one match was needed to decide the fate of the competition with Rublev combining with Zverev to defeat Reilly Opelka and Shapovalov in their doubles encounter.
