For the remaining Asia-Pacific and South East Asia, the TV partner is Fox Sports. For New Zealand and Oceania-Pacific, the broadcast partners are Sky and Fiji TV respectively.

In Japan, one can switch to Wowow and NHK, while in China, the Dubai Tennis Championships is broadcast by CCTV, Shanghai TV and iQiyi.

For India and rest of the sub-continent, Sony Six/ESPN has the broadcasting rights, which was extended by three years starting from the 2021 edition of the WTA Dubai.

This year’s WTA Dubai Tennis Championships will kick-start with its qualifiers on Saturday and Sunday, February 18 and 19. The tournament main with its first round matches will begin on Monday, February 20 (a couple of opening round matches might be played on Sunday as well).

The tournament will go on till Sunday, February 26 when the women’s singles final will be held.

WTA Dubai 2023 Prize Money

What Happened at the Previous Dubai Open?

Jelena Ostapenko, who had entered the 2022 WTA Dubai as an unseeded player won the title by defeating another unseeded player Veronika Kudermetova in the final of the competition. Ostapenko ran off to a 6-0, 6-4 victory.

After having saved a match-point in her quarterfinal match against Kvitova, Ostapenko edged out Simona Halep 2-6, 7-6 (0), 6-0 in her semifinal.

Earlier, the top seeded Aryna Sabalenka lost her second round match to Kvitova while Ostapenko stunned the sixth seeded Iga Swiatek at the same stage. Second seeded Barbora Krejcikova was a straight-set loser to Dayana Yastremska in the second round as well.
